Feline Success Stories

Be inspired by heartwarming success stories of stray cats finding their perfect families. These tales celebrate the resilience of these animals and the powerful difference that rescue, TNR, and community support can make.

How It All Began

My journey began in 2018 when one abandoned kitten transformed my fear of cats into a lifelong rescue mission.

The Unexpected Visitor: If you had told me years ago that I would dedicate my time to rescuing cats, I wouldn’t have believed you. In fact, back in 2018, I was genuinely scared of felines. But my entire world changed the day a tiny, confused kitten was left right in front of my door. She was meowing at the door, completely convinced that my apartment was her house. I had absolutely no experience handling cats or kittens, and my initial reaction was pure panic but that panic was quickly overshadowed by a deep, undeniable sense of pity for this little creature.

Tiny Whiskers Quick Tips

Over the years, I have learned a lot through hands-on rescue work. Here, I share my personal guidelines, from managing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives to basic medical protocols for vulnerable strays.

Standard Kitten Emergency Formula

These recipes are purely a bridge for 24–48 hours until a proper commercial milk replacer can be acquired. They lack the complete, balanced nutrients required for long-term growth.

Kitten Bottle Feeding Posture

Proper posture is critical when bottle-feeding neonatal kittens, and an incorrect position can be life-threatening. Watch this video to see the ideal, safe posture for feeding a kitten.

Kitten Development Phases

This video shows the kitten development phases from week one through week eight.

Weaning & Tummy Troubles

The weaning period is one of the most exciting milestones in a rescue kitten’s life, but it can also bring a few unexpected hurdles. See the video to learn how you can handle it.

Meloxicam (Metacam): Pain Relief & Post-Op Care

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) prescribed by veterinarians to reduce pain, inflammation, and fever in cats.

I primarily rely on Meloxicam for my Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives. Ensuring street cats have adequate pain management for the first few days after their spay or neuter surgeries is crucial for a smooth, humane recovery before they are released back to their outdoor colonies.

Eliminating Internal Parasites

Deworming medications (anthelmintics) are essential treatments designed to rid cats of internal parasites like roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms.

Assume every cat living on the streets of Doha has worms. Whether I am trapping a feral cat for a TNR clinic or taking in a tiny, malnourished orphan, deworming is a mandatory part of my intake protocol. Internal parasites steal vital nutrients, which can quickly cause life-threatening anemia and stunted growth in vulnerable neonatal kittens.
